Yeah slowly bump that temp up 10 degrees and it should help. That very well could be the culprit.

my parrot likes to change color from a super bright orange-almost red kinda color to a super pale lighter than light peachy kinda pale depending on his mood and what is going on, and I've seen him pull these color changes in like 10 minute time periods too lol
I wouldn't worry too much as long as he is eating and swimming normally
