Final update. Ended up with some nice females to hold back. Here's some random pics.
Nice little female shortbody red Texas from this spawn ready to breed. It is the one with the pearly eyebrows.
This beast is starting to fade. Should look very cool faded with those half pearled scales.
My favorite one from the beginning of this thread. Very awesome fish

The round one has tacked on a nice nuchal little hump after one year and looks less "huh derrr". I'm still calling it Robert Downey Jr though.
