There are still jags in the quarry pond on UH campus. They're just no where near as common as the red devils, convicts, and 5 stars.

I'd catch about one jag for every 50 other fish (made up of probably 20 5 star generals, 20 red devils, and 9 convicts). All were caught over by the stream entrance with a bit of worm or bread and a bobber...

Oh that is outstanding. The red devils , 5 star I love as have never seen those in Florida .
