The xanthic color form various amongst individual fish. They are like sowflakes where no 2 are alike. At least that has been my experience so far. I have 4 little guys and each one has it's own color markings on its body. Some have black splotches and some are all orange or pinkish and some have a blueish gray shading to them. I am hoping for at least one of mine to grow into as nice a specimen as the one Jeff has in that photo.

Well work is slow, as it has been for many, but I just see that as an opportunity to reconnect with my love of fishkeeping. Unfortunately, my finances do not have the same upbeat attitude as I do (screw them). Anyway, I have been killing time by taking photos of some of my favorites. And since you all have given me hours of entertainment and inspiration with your photos and stories - the monster fish and monster tank builds are awesome - I would like to give back a little and share some of them with you.
