As everyone knows the plane still hasn't been found. What was announced in the last 12 hours is that the engines themselves have a transponder. This has been reported to have been sending signals for the following 4-5 hours after the plane lost contact. This suggests the engines were still intact during that time. After 4 hours it could have be manually shut off.
Another strange thought is some have claimed to have called the passengers and their phones rang before going to voicemail. In most cases(not all) if your phone is turned off it will go straight to voicemail(I know this has been true for me in the past but haven't tested my current phone)
Lots of questions...if the plane was diverted, how is it that no one tried calling?
I was listening to one of my favorite talk radio shows and they had a guest on who claimed to be a pilot with experience with the type of plane that is missing..He said that if the plane did crash into the ocean any floating debris would be about the size of a child's fist.I just feel bad for all of those people.
It would be much bigger than that. The seats alone (which float) are substantially bigger.
It would be larger but due to the size of the ocean it would be like looking for an ant on a football field.I was listening to one of my favorite talk radio shows and they had a guest on who claimed to be a pilot with experience with the type of plane that is missing..He said that if the plane did crash into the ocean any floating debris would be about the size of a child's fist.I just feel bad for all of those people.
