Paver Sand from Home Depot

Nope i am an avid user of pool filter sand I usually find it at home depot. i use if for african an SA. anybody use bricks/pavers in ther tanks for decoration

Back in the day, I once used brick chips for a couple of years as bio media in my sump. Worked fine with no issues, so clay fired brick should be safe to use. I prefer pool filter sand because it cleaner, and generally has a lighter color. You can generally pour pool filter sand into your tank, fill it up some with a water hose stirring it as you go, drain the tank with a pump and refill, and you're good to go. Once you wash the dust out, the stuff is very clean, which saves a lot of time on a larger tank.

i use it too works good but you have to realy wash it well
