Payara compatibility.

wow thats an odd combo I am supprised that they havent had any probs at all.... what do they want for the fire eels??? how big are they???? I want a bigger one atleast 8" or some where around there..... did ya get my PM???? dont worry about payment this one is on me...
 
Don't you think your aro might kill/eat the payara. They're roughly the same shape and color and the payara isn't a bottom feeder so it would be open to attack (unlike a loach for e.g.)

Well, the payara is the same size as my geophagus and severums and the aro leaves them alone.

The aro has never seen a feeder and it's not very aggressive. I've never seen it show aggression to any of the other fish.

My biggest concern is putting feeders in that tank....... I'd rather have the payara eating prepared food, so I might set another tank up for it.

that might be a good idea quarentine it and get it on prepared foods so as to not put feeders in the main show tank. with that they are keeping it with and what you will be keeping it with i dont think there will be a problem. go for it rally and post some pics up when you get him.
