Wow those are awesome looking!
Payara have always been a fish I've been interested in and seeing this thread just makes me want one or two or three more. lol.
To the OP, your armatus are very nice looking. Would love to see how big they are now.

There a great fish to keep.. the others pics are the armatus mate! Mine are scomberoides..not much difference between the two fish at the size they are now. But as they grow out you can tell the difference.. Armatus is the big boy at max size.

So have you been feeding your fish live from the start guys?
Yea me and Troy1015 Troy1015 have had them on live since we gotten them at 2" the beginning of this thread as of today they are roughly around 4.7" and the biggest being 5.2" they are in two different tanks now one being kept with 7 other basses were mine is only with 2 and him being the most dominate

Here's the one I'm currently raising. Got Afro died due to unknown reason and added a hand feeding Juruenese catfish and a FLG. you should they are pretty hard fishy and extremely interesting fish but in my experience maybe due to the footprint of grow out tank having 2 was a catastrophe. The more dominate one kept chasing the other one to the point where he could barely eat due to the bass and armatus packing up.

Lol they look like feeders in my tank in photos they appear so much bigger in person
