Got it! Collecting all the fish for my dream tank in the living room. The payara was the final piece! Hopefully he doesnt get to aggressive. Gonna put him with an aro, ATF, endi bichir, and a couple rays. hope it all works out! I'll take some better pics and post them later!

yo R1, i saw a movie of your tank with 2 armatus, atf, and a catfisk or two. how many gallons is that tank?

Of coarse! Hes only in there till he gets some size on him. Would not like it at all to have him chummed by one of the other fish

hows he doin? is he eatin? mine started eating the min i got him. theyre eating monsters compared to all other payara. good news my guy got some redtails, im going to go check them out tomorrow. ill throw up some pics, he said theyre almost 12''

POSTSOME PICS!!! Always nice to see some big redtails! Yeah hes eating. In fact, I was just about to post a thread on if its possible to overfeed. He ate like 4 feeders about the 1/2 his size and doesnt seem to be slowing down. Pretty cool. Even at 4in they got some HUGE teeth!

dude they can rely eat big fish, im glad i got my atf when i did otherwise he would have swallowed him like a minnow. if u want to put any other fish with him get them now, hes going to grow outrageously fast!!

How much would you say? Maybe 1-1.5" a month?

ya mine had a huge growth spirt, he went from 4inches to 8 inches in less then 2 months.
