Payara likes to jump out from the tank?

I know fish jump n the last one I was surprised by was from my buddy Reiner. His MBU jumped.
I'm just saying I never heard of them jumping
Industrial, did your Scomb check out or did you catch him on time?

He managed to flop around on the floor and end up underneath the desk through the opening in the back so I didn't find him until I got back home that day and had enough time to move the desk. He was still a little moist, so he probably could have survived if I would have had more time earlier to move the desk.

Do all your fishes still jump as they get older?
My Armatus did jump when I first bought it, but now it seems more settled.
I usually leave the cover of my tank open, cos I hate the moisture build-up at the top of the tank.
Though I have to admit, I still make sure I cover it back if I'm ever out of the room. Cos they definitely are capable of jumping, and I don't wanna come back home to find him dead on the floor.
