More active than the large Yellow Tale Barracuda that I once had, but not real active. Also not very skittish, not nearly as skittish as the Barracuda.

But seriously, if you want a predatory characin, i'd go with the Odoe. Scombs are known to die suddenly, plus they'd most likely be beaten into hiding by most cichlids you'd put in there.
