As long as your arrow can't eat them i think it should work. the cichlids might be the biggest problem IMO.
not sure what species you should try, i'm new to them as well. right now i have 3 tat's, 2 scomb's, and 1 raph.
seems like my tat's are the most aggresive.

I got them from BigRoc on aquabid. he gets so much bad rap but has some really nice fish.

any body got an ther idea , some fich that does not get too big and not too small , preferbly bottem that wil not hurt ray's or ray's tthem ?
current combo is 3 different Geophagus species, a pair of Tat's and some Pink tail Chalceus. The combo is working really well with the geo's entertaining themselves and the tat's basically ruleing the entire tank. The PTC are annoying so i'm glad that they were A. cheap and B. are considered dithers but otherwise, things are worknig well. My Tat's are about 10", geo's between 4" and 6" and the PTC at 7-8".
I would consider Rays as your dominant species and work arround them. it's the only way to avoid heartbreak. I remember seeing a picture of a large ray chowing down on a large Armatus and a different pic of a ray doing the same to an aimara.
