Payara Problems...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My armatus is better than ever; attacking food like never before, active, and looking beautiful. Im going into my second week of treatment on tuesday, gonna do a 25% water change and hope for the best. The box says 3 weeks treatment for anchor worms. I guess, soon ill have my baby in impecable health, ready to join my main tank.

Also while he is feeding i have been able to examine the worm better than ever before(still no good pictures though). But im so HAPPY... Because i found out that the anchor worm is not attched to any vital parts of the gills. He is on a part of the gill plate, barely on the inside. Also ive seen that there is no swelling or inflamation around the mouth of the worm.

all good signs till now and my head can finally rest a little. Thanks for all the support and feedback, as always ill keep everyone updated on my armatus.

So here is an update on how my armatus is doing. Only thing that sucks is that the praziquantel has caused a slime coat of some sorts to develop on my glass, so the video is a little bad. But as soon as im done with the treatment i will make a better video.

Enjoy.

Last week of treatment starts today. Hopefully the anchor worm dies off by next tuesday.

I love prazi, it's great. Except that for something like anchor worms you need a med that targets external parasites. Check out something like Tetra Parasite Guard or CyroPro. Nice payara btw.
