Darn the whole thing was a lie.At the site above is ware i got the idea my fish was a Hydrolycus Scomberoides."The One That Is A Mount Pic" .Is The Two That I Have had. I also have had the one that is on the fishing lure ,and they bouth get over 10"for shere.
When i sold mine the 2 in the pic were 14inch and the other 12inch.:DClick on the pic and more will result.

The easiest way to identify scombs is from the pelvic fins. They are attactched laterally to the side of the body, not the bottom of it. They also have black spots at the base of the pectoral fins.

the easiest way to Id scombs from vulpinus is the body shape.

From vulpinus yes (there are other species out there), but it doesn't work as well for the other species. Even someone without experience could tell them apart by the fins/spots.

lol, I know. I've owned vulpinus, scomb, taut, and now I have an Armatus. Master .k. thought his vulpinus were scombs. I was basically just telling him the easiest way to ID vulpinus from scombs (what he had VS. what he thought he had).
