hey guys
i have a 3 inch mono in with a 6 inch payara odoe pike and a 4 inch clown knife. for some reason the bass chases the payara around the tank agressivly all the time. the payaras getting beaten up bad. Do you guys have this problem? Are they just not compatable fish? Or is there a way to get rid of the agression. The tank is bare bottom with no decor.

and sorry for the spelling errors and typos. its late and im egzausted lol.

Doesnt work MOST of the time. Although, Neo does have a lg. Armatus w/ a lg. orino.

But in your case, the bass will probably kill the payara.

well i guess that kills my plans for some monos. my 3 payara are 6" too. was going to get 3-4 pbass but im not sure if thats a good idea now.

What's a payara odoe pike? There's no such thing.

It's either an african pike characin (hepsetus odoe) or a south american payara (hydrolicus sp.).

Pike Odoe is way diff than Payara (RedTail Tat, Scomb, Armatus etc...)

I've tried adding a couple of ODOE Pikes with my Pbass sometime ago and when they realized that the they can find a way to fit the Pike in their mouth's, it was on. It did not last. It may for sometime if the size of the Pike is bigger than the Bass, but like everything else it's just a matter of time.

Anything that's a top swimmer and silver/shiny is considered food. They see something bright and shiny dash accross their eyes instints will take over and will make them want to eat it..

Like being in a strip joint and a fine as dancer walks naked in front you, arent you tempted to just grab....LOL..
