payara with bass

hey guys
i have a 3 inch mono in with a 6 inch payara odoe pike and a 4 inch clown knife. for some reason the bass chases the payara around the tank agressivly all the time. the payaras getting beaten up bad. Do you guys have this problem? Are they just not compatable fish? Or is there a way to get rid of the agression. The tank is bare bottom with no decor.

theyre proly being aggressive cuz theres no place to hide! throw some decor in there and the pyara shouldn't be getting harrased

Just make sure the Aro is bigger than the Bass. I've had a couple of Black Aro's w/my Bass and it was fine, of course they were too big to fit in their mouth.

I was talking about a aro with the pike.
