paypal account information needed...

I've used PayPal for years as well. I like it a lot and trust using it (with my bank account and CC only).

I used paypal to sell some things a couple of years ago. Every transaction went great except the last one. The buyer paid everything just fine. Paypal transferred every payment into my account correctly, except the last one. I transferred it from paypal to my bank account, but it never showed up. Paypal showed it as being withdrawn and deposited in my account, but it never showed up. I spent weeks dealing with paypal trying to get it figured out, but since their system said it was transferred, they wouldn't help me.

Other than that one instance, I've never had issues with paypal, whether buying or selling. And I always use a credit card, never my bank account, for the reasons stated above.

so,,,,when you buy something using it, they get the money first and then ship to you right? Then,,to sell something, they send the money to you first, then you ship?

Are you guys saying that I could send the money and nothing is stopping them from not sending me my item? Or the other way around as well?

That's how I've done it. As soon as the money shows up in my Paypal account, I'll ship it out. I don't wait until it's in my bank account. The example above seems like a one-time error on Paypal's part

When I sold with paypal, funds were added to my account but in "pending" mode until 1-2 weeks after the transaction has completed. This allowed time for the buyer to dispute/resolve any issues that may arise. If there were issues, they have a resolution area where you can file claim, submit evidence (tracking number etc) to help resolve the issue.

OP: you can file a claim and PayPal will reverse the funds.

I have been using PayPal for a couple of years both selling and buying and have nothing but great experience with them.

well I just read a lot about them not releasing your funds for a long time, that trips me out a bit.

I've used paypal for years. My friends and I use it all the time to pay each other back for things. Just a warning though, Paypal is COMPLETELY useless for buyer protection. If you're at all hesitant about the transaction, make sure to fund the payment with a credit card, and not your bank account - that way you could file a dispute with your credit if need be. Despite what they advertise, paypal does very little to protect the buyer.

this is untrue. ive had in my ebay a engine for sale, all over my add i said Bump start only, sent it to a guy he did a claim because i didnt give a pull start, he gets the money back. this has happened to me dozens of times with various items. another time i took the engine out of my personal race car sold it. the guy files a claim saying i sold him a engine that is a P.O.S wont start has no compression. i raced it the day before. the compression was spot on. it leave little SELLER protection.

after many sales the time frame goes down. if you have money in your paypal account you can use the money right away. if problems arise they hold the amount. buyer always wins though.

have more then 700 ebay feedback and anyone on ebay will tell you, for every one feedback you get your owed like 3. atleast in the RC business.

for someone who sells some geckos now and then and some things on ebay what alternatives to paypal are good?
