That's how I've done it. As soon as the money shows up in my Paypal account, I'll ship it out. I don't wait until it's in my bank account. The example above seems like a one-time error on Paypal's partjason longboard;4749429;4749429 said:so,,,,when you buy something using it, they get the money first and then ship to you right? Then,,to sell something, they send the money to you first, then you ship?
Are you guys saying that I could send the money and nothing is stopping them from not sending me my item? Or the other way around as well?

If you're at all hesitant about the transaction, make sure to fund the payment with a credit card, and not your bank account - that way you could file a dispute with your credit if need be. Despite what they advertise, paypal does very little to protect the buyer.

This allowed time for the buyer to dispute/resolve any issues that may arise. If there were issues, they have a resolution area where you can file claim, submit evidence (tracking number etc) to help resolve the issue.

after many sales the time frame goes down. if you have money in your paypal account you can use the money right away. if problems arise they hold the amount. buyer always wins though.
