Looks very similar to the Florida Hybrids at that size.

If you hadn't bought it at an LFS in Jakarta I would have thought it was a one of the Hybrids here.

The golden halo on the bars makes it look like a juvenile Orino which is very common to most of the hybrids here.

anybody has a pic of the hybrid??how do u differentiate the hybrid n orinos??

Where in Seattle did u study? What year? Maybe I know u or someone u know. LOL

Here's a picture of a batch of 4 to 5 inch Florida Hybrids from last month:

I've also had batches where they don't have complete bars but 2 or three rounded blotches with golden halos on their bodies instead of the bars.

The sticky fishing threads in this section have pictures of adults caught on hook and line. I have yet to grow them to monster size in aquariums although I caught them up to 20 inch + and kept a few around in my tanks from time to time. All of the fries I've raised are gone before they reach 6 inches.

I assume that these fries I grow will very likely turn out like the ones I catch unless tank environments have drastic effects on their appearance when raised in an aquarium.

IMO they are most attractive as juveniles in the 5 to 9 inch range. To really appreciate their comparative beauty you need to snorkel with them and observe them at their various stages of development.:)

Ah. I started at Edmonds CC in '94 then went to SU. We Might have known some of the same people. Like most Indos you know them by what they drive if not by the name. LOL

Man, if u can get Super Reds there you should stick to that. I'd much rather have Super Reds than an azul.
