Could you keep P-bass in a 180 sure.
Could you keep a Rotwieler in a bathroom for sure.

Just because you can doesnt mean you should. Just my 2 cents.

depends on the footprint of the tank

You won't be able to keep adult fish in a 180. One or two fish would be pushing it, if you really want them. A pbass will and should grow over 12" in a year, and be at 16"+ after a year (from a 2" baby, and faster if not stunted).

You can't keep Pbass in a 180 except for maybe as a growout tank. Have you seen how fast they can swim? Those fish need space. How about Petenia splendida?

awsome suggestion, i have one (its my daughters) great fish, gets along well in my community. also easy to come by, you should be able to pick one up at almost any petsmart for around $20-30. would be well suited for life in a 180, max size is around 18".

For Pbass, because of their size and speed of light swimming abilities, I think you would need a 360g+ tank to do them justice but that's just my opinion. I've never owned one and never go to the Pbass section to know how the experts feel about it. You should ask some questions there to get more hands on advice. Here's a Snook vid I saw on youtube. They look pretty cool.

Balton those Splendida are sick. I'm getting a pair just like that and suddenly I'm evermore excited.
