Is it normal for mono Pbass to get lazy or very not active at all for 2 days but water is great and no stress from other fish? Is there something iam not doing or anything to help during this period? He's about 4.5'' or so, he was full of movement and very aggressive when it comes to eating and interacting with viewers of the tank

Odd behavior, mine will never stop unless they are sleeping(which is when they really change color). Dumb question but I gotta ask, they aren't sleeping right?

not that i can tell.. He is swimming and moving around a lil on the bottom but his color has changed 10 fold but not green top 1\2 went dark gray and yellow trim around all his black and hasn't eatin that i can tell. All the other tankmates are doing just as normal. If you look at my album you can see how bright silver he was dont have new pic yet

When was the last time you did a water change? What is the temp of the tank? What are you feeding? What are its tankmates? What is your filtration? And how big is the tank?

X2. It sounds like what other fish I have heard about when water goes bad sometimes. Just because you change water doesn't always mean its good. You should check your sink water sometimes.

I came home from work this morning and he is swimming and moving around, his color is much diff then it was. The tank mates are12'' spotted florida gar, 8''tsn,4-5''rtc, 10'' pim cat,17''reg pleco,7''choc albino pleco and a 10'' fancy tail gold fish that made it through the feeding of my pacu. They all live in a 125 growout tank moving to a 600 diy by chrismas. Water is very important but i have never lost a fish due to water, i grew up in a fishtank persay my mom was a very well know vet of all kinds. filtration is Rena xp3 and 2 Hydor powerheads 1400,750gph. Just as i write this the pbass is chasing the gar around the tank i think they are buddies lol. i really apprecate the help guys. The temp is right now is 77.7 digital, and i am feeding comets feeders, convict baby feeders and 2 dozen red worms a week

Try and get it off feeders. But first off, for a pbass 77 is too low. Especially at that size. He needs a temp of 84-86....preferbly 86. All the other fish will be fine at that temp. Just raise it a degree or 2 a day.

Sounds good i'll try that and will see what happens. What would be good to try, food wise? Come to think about it the temp where i live did change cooler this past week and the temp was around 81 most of the time, this just might be it. Thanks alot for the tip, it all makes sence now
