Pbass changing color but also just setting on the bottom.HELP

I've noticed my Pbass can get spooked easily. My cats were very interested in him for the first few months and this definately stressed out the Pbass. luckily they have stopped stalking him and jumping up the side of the tank. Recently I once did a Partial Water Change and dumped 5 gallons of water into it's temperary 20 gallon home (now in a 135g). The sudden addition made him hide for 3 days. And the water was dechlorinated and adjusted to the tanks temperature but I poured it in way too fast... He is very active now and gets super excited when I get home.

I am now very careful not to make any drastic changes. I love his personality and want him to stay confident and playful in to his adult life.
 
All is good raised the temp too around 84.9 or so during the day and around 83 something at night when the lights go off. His activity and eating habits are back to normal, but his color is still silverish with a slight green tint to it. Thanks for all the suggestions from every body.
