PBASS CUT HELP

hey guys i got a pbass with a bad gash on hsi side.it seems to beeing getting worse as time goes by.i added salt and upped the temp.wat else should i do?i think he got cut ont he drift wood when i moved him in there.he is with 3 other which r fine.any help?thanx

Ok well how deep is it is it pass the white layer of muscle or whatever it is?

Have You got a spare tank to put him in so you can treat with melafix it works wonders

just keep a eye on him to make sure he is ok but a picture would help.

yea i can see the white layer.its deep.he is acting normal and eating.i dont got a spare tank for him=(man i feel sorry for this little guy.

True well at least it aint gone pass the white muscle or fat or whatever it is. I guess you could ask your LFS see what they have but it will heal over time my oscar got a bad gash on his forehead and he healed up good with melafix in about a week and 3 days don't panic to much just keep a idea and it should workout.

Hmmm this is tough the meds might affect the other fish guys do you think divding the tank is good idea i don't know tough one

Yes and no temp up does kinda help and salt cleans wound.

If you keep doing the temp up and salt it should heal but very slowy just keep a eye on him and he should be fine keep us updated.
