Pbass eating like a PIG!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My guess to why they eat so much is, instinct.

In the wild, they never know when they will have another meal, so they eat eat eat.

yea my pbass stuff themselves too...looks like they are about to pop!! Like Tipstylez said they may eat like this because in the wild they dont know when they're next meal will be or they are just eager to grow so that they will not become prey items for some other fish....

We noticed that with our first peacock bass, Dozer and Happy dude would pig out and get fat little bellies and in the morning when we got up they would be bigger.

now the new dudes are doing the same thing.. my 3 inch c. ocellaris are now closer to 4 inches and we've only had them a month. and the little tems are doing the same thing, but it's tough to tell if they are growing or not cause they still look tiny next to the bigger baby dudes.

Right now i have him with my RTC and my TSN,i have to hand feed my cats because the Pbass wouldnt let any food hit the bottom of the tank!!I have 1 2 inch Irredesant shark left, the Pbass doesnt bother him though,it seems that everytime the Pbass tried to chase the shark my Chocolate cichlid would then chase the Pbass wierd huh??:screwy:
