okay. So feeders make Pbass grows faster but puts more chance of having a disease and market shrimp isn't as fast but it reduces the chances of getting disease?!

Feeders have little to no nutritional value. Not to mention that they highly increase the risk of disease in the tank. Feed them shrimp

Also,IMO feeders won't make cichla grow faster. I grew my old babies out from 2"-15" in 1 year on almost strictly shrimp. I also fed them silversides,fish filets, and feeders very rarely. Feeders also won't do anythign as far as bringing out colors go. Imagine the cost of having to feed a pack of cichla, feeders...everyday.OUCH
