Frequent water changes. Add some safe start or similar to help jump start the bio filteration. Could also add some sludge from your HOB filter into your new filters. Prepare for an upgrade.

Yep. If you want to cycle a tank with a bass, just monitor water quality.

Add as much materail feom the old tank.

Do small water changes, so you do not hinder the cycle.
