Recently I got 3 large pbass.

since getting them they have started feeding and behaving normally but the smaller male seems to have developed a very slight case of HITH? all my tank parems are spot on, and pH is ay 7.8 . I was thinking that the build up of ammonia in the bag could have sparked this? not sure.

Also the female seems to have a bit of a raw bottom lip? any suggestions?

yah thats what my cousin had... I dont know what to do.. as in feeding my guys... there only 5.5" but I want too know what too feed them...

Melafix might help, but the only way ive seen HITH be cured is by awesome tank maintenance and time. I've also heard in some fish carbon filters can cause it but i dont know how true that actually is. All i know is that when i moved my oscar into a larger tank with no carbon his hith started to go away.....very slowly

Yeah like rallysman said awsome tank maintence, but i also added stresscoat to my old oscars, and that seemed to help also, just a suggestion

get them on somethign else besides feeders! melafix works but over a long period of time... do frequent water changes.... 5-10 percent water changes ever 4-5 days... your ph is also kinda high... do you have crushed coral or lime rock in the tank? if so take it out.... peacocks like i reccomend 6.5-7.0 , no ammonia, no nitrate.....ect... get them eatting cut shrimp..... highly reccommend is to get them on pellets iknow its extremely hard so get some hikari pellets AND STICK THEM INSIDE THE CUT UP MARKET PRAWN....IN 6 MONTHS UR FISH WILL GLOW... soorry didnt mean for the caps but dont feel like typing it all over :) any questions im more then happy and i hope u do...... pm if u like!

As quickly as the HITH appeared it has started to heal. My water perams are perfect. Am a bit of a water change nazi.
