in front of my cichla tank,IL
i recently got a mono or ocel not sure but is there something i can do to kinda speed up his growth a lil like a certain type of food to feed him or something cuz he is like 3inch and i wanna put him with my orinos but they r like 5 inches and growing like crazy and when i did put the small guy and they all chased after him so i put him in a 10gall for now and he is eating earthworms, cichlid biogold pellets and some other kind of cichlid pellets and also marketshrimp and temp is at 85

Try feeding him twice a day and the orinos once. He should be ok in a month or two. I caught my tems up pretty quick when I had to.

allright thanks it just sucks though cuz i didnt think he was that much smaller and then when i got home i realized how much bigger my orinos r and it seems like they grew bigger than they were yesterday they look like double the little guys size.
is there a certain point where orinos kinda slow down growing?

Bump the temp a couple degrees to speed up the metab... If you don't want to ruin your current feeding habits then that is about it. If you are willing to change the habits go live fish.. the growth rate will double, or even triple in my opinion ;) Seen it too many times to doubt.

k thanks but if i go live i think i might have trouble getting him back on pellets and live is just too expensive but i will bump the temp up a few and do a lil more small waterchanges

i feed my mono pellets and live food and i have no problem trying o get it to eat just feed them some live feeders twice a week and the rest of the time pellets and bloodworms

And water changes as stated ;)
