i know someone that had 2 10 inch peas in a 100 gal.. with space... would be fine for a while.. but id say when upgrading try to atleast get a 240

I'm worried about the jar, too. I actually have one that's about 11" in with quite a few polys, dats and a couple others and it's fine with everyone. I am planning on trying my bass with it when the time comes, too, even though it's taboo. The senegal won't be able to be in the tank forever with that ornate and possibly because of the others also. You need some endlis 
You're going to want at least a 240 if you put bass in there, possibly a 300 wide or same footprint but taller. A year until you upgrade might be pushing it, though.
