the more i look at them the more i think they are orino/mono hybrids... either way im not tryin to "pull something" or anything.. $10 covers about a months worth of food :)

so wheres everyone with some plecos kickin around

no, not the first pic,........... i'm not an expert but i know the ones in this thread is not orinos

there's plenty of pics in photo lounge if you wanna see orinos at 3-6"

but, $10 for a 4-6" mono is a good buy. esp if they look as good as the ones in these pics

I saw what looks like gold ring developing and the gold outline on the caudal section. But you are probably right...
What did you buy these as? Whatever they are though, great quality fish and price!

i got them both for free at the socal mfk meet.. they came from oddballer...

their stripes and spots change constantly.. and their strips has been fading for about a month or so as they grow..
 
based on this thread im going to call them both occelaris or occelaris/spangled occelaris hybrids... because depending on stress level... thats EXACTLY what they look like.. the smaller one had spangles on its fins.. the bigger one does not have any spangles

anywho... this big one is pending
