Hi friends! My friend just bought a P-bass (ocellaris) about 5".....while at the LFS...the LFS guy was trying to catch the Pbass and it jumped outta the tank and fell 4 feet to the floor....now it's bought and at my friends house....the fish is alive and moving well....but the fish seems to have something wrong with it's tail....

The tail is kinda stiff and 'slightly' bent from the fall now...it does not swim with a full "tailwagging" motion....it only "wags" to one side...

Anyone know if this will heal in time or if there are any medication that would possibly help...I never had this problem before so I'm wondering...thanks!

Maybe it hurts the fish to move its tail to the other side so it is compensating. Just check everyday to see if it starts to move to the other side little by little.

nwver see that before but like they said it might hurt to swing it to other side. might need more time to heal. just keep a close eye on it

Can you get pix?

I'll try to get him to get pics possibly

that sucks!!!
You would think the LFS would have some common sense and put the fish back in it's tank to observe it for awhile before selling it to you or someonelse!

I hope you got a discount or some money back!!

Sprained tail, listed as questionable for todays game. lol
