I have a small Pbass that im looking to add to my 60 to clean out a few tiger barbs that are getting out of controll. Will the pbass do fine withthem?

In my experience, discus are placid fish that like to take their time with anything. Throw a fish with an insatiable appetite, dominant tendencies, and fast grower, and you've got a recipe for disaster. Not wise, IMO.

Well the tigers are riping on the discus.. I dont real want to. Clean the tank out n hunt the tigers out. Rather feed the bass for a day or two n place him back.

well i havent had a problem with agro pbass they are dominate and agro towards there own kind but ive never seen any off mine "attack" anther fish but if said fish will fit into the pbass mouth its all over!

Ahhh I was under the impression the pbass was a permanent addition. In that case, I'd feed the discus real good one night, then add the hungry pbass for a day or two and let him work. Just keep an eye on the discus.

it could work, otherwise it the discus would be expensive snacks!

I wouldn't want to catch a bunch of tiger barbs in a heavily-decorated tank, either. I would give it a try first and if you're not having any luck, try the bass. Be very careful that it doesn't stress the discus too much. You might add a tiny bit of salt. My question is why they were in there in the first place, lol

But then you'll still have to catch the cichla out of a heavy decorated/planted tank :D
