I have found Jags to be very diverse in temperament: Some are insane killers that try to get at you OUTSIDE the tank, even while no females are present (breeding), and I have had Jags that are real easy going, just keeping a small area clear with the female WHILE spawning, not attacking other fish. So, it will be up to what kind of Jag you get. It could work, but as mentioned, keep an eye on them.
