Lol thanks a lot, this was at Petland Discounts on Long Island...I'm putting money down on it, I would have just brought it home today but they also had a gorgeous wolf fish I had to grab too. Lol I just can't help myself...so its a lap right? And male or female?

Nice. I love mislabeled petland finds. I thought I maybe found a burmese clouded archer labeled as a common (turned out to be common) and the people in the store were hilariously ignorant. Like, I ask the lady if the tank the archer is in is brackish, and she says, "Oh, it used to be but we got lazy and stopped putting salt in, I think." Then, to test it, she dips her finger in the tank and TASTES the water. My jaw dropped and I think I got out an, "uhhhhh..." before she did it again! At that point I realized giving her advice would not help anything.

Sorry for derail.

Looks like a female.
If it has no diseases, looks healthy, I'd plop $40 in no time.
Can't tell from the blurry pic what that white patch just in front of the pelvic fin is.

Lmao yea that sounds like Petland people, when I was younger I worked there for two years and they drove me nuts there. I had a kid that played with crickets all day and refused to help customers because he was too "busy". Another guy was selling oscars to people with ten gallon starter kit tanks, just to make sales. After fighting over and over with them about that crap I quit that job. But its always good to go in there and see nice fish at good prices just because of lack of knowledge. Lol They also have Peacock Bass listed as "lukinini" for same price. There's no such thing as lukinini, just Lukinani which is the Hawaiian nickname for Peacock Bass.lol.

Yes thank you, I also was worried about that white patch so I looked at it closely and it thankfully doesn't look like a fungus. More like a scrape from squeezing herself under those big rocks. Once I get her home next week, she should do great in my setup. I'm so excited about it now. Lol.
