Yeah I'd imagine they'd cook it up in a petri dish.... like they did in asia to create those catfish hybrids, anyone remember the RTC x Paroon Shark? They do inhabit the same rivers and basins but I think most if not all Poly hybrids are artificial? :)

They were not dine in a petri dish. A hormone injection to be exact. This particular hybrid was breed a with a male 12" sene and a stunted 14" endli.

Nigerian endli is my favorite when it has the particular head shape i'm looking for. i don't know what percentage has that shape (i see yours don't), but i hope when i do decide to get a Nigerian endli, i can get one i like.

I there's a low percentage of this. As when I ordered them from my Nigerian supplier most have those eyes sticking out like the other Nigerian endli shows here in the pics. This one caught my eye first so I didn't sold him.

I thought it was just a endli with unique patterns until I was told by the breeder that it's a hybrid. Looks like a palmas.

yeah i figure. it's just in this case with the size difference, my guess was wrong, i was thinking along the line of petri dish so to speak. wow didn't know they used a stunted endli for this.

yeah i don't like the eyes sticking out if i can help it. Anyway it's hard to describe the head shape i like, it's not just the eyes.

There are actually many stunted endli in captivity. I also have a 12" 3 years old endli that never grew anymore. All the other sibling are now at 18-22 inches.

I too don't like the eyes sticking out. It makes it look reptilian and have a killer looks if the eyes are intact.
