They are from Big-In.
Infact those pictures are from the website.
They are labled as the "Black Type Super Fat Bichir Bichir".
They are infact the very same cheap CBs that were in Aqua-Art last year. I knew it!!!

And They are sold out (as it says on the site) and have been since 23rd Dec.
As it is BI-Pro, I know Sasaki and Ryuta both very well.

Infact, I can call them for you Kohaku if you would like further information...

Yes they are from Bigin and I knew they are already sold out when I post them out. You know very well then when I told you they are from Kyoto. I would be happy if you could help me liaise with them. Thanks in advance.

tat other 5 x P.B.L bullethead still below 35CM but they more than 45CM between 1 year ady...

Recently we got a new shipment of PBB at a LFS. It is selling at half the price of the first batch of PBB. I got these pictures from another forum to ask for ID if they are PBB.

My first impression is they are lap as it lack the white cheek pattern and the head shape is slightly different.

I maybe wrong as I still learning. Can any expert share his views?

Last pic is a Kamihata Breed.

The other look like they could well be PBB, but they look not so nice quality, I wouldn't buy them.

There are two sources of PBB, Lake Chad and Lake Turkana.
As I saw the previous pics from africaman (#38), it seems from Lake Chad.
According to the record from Japan, the most largest specie is the one from Lake Turkana. From the location-wise, the bloodline of west africa's PBB (Lake Chad) would be more close to PBL(Lapradie), and the species from east africa (Kenya) would be more pureblooded. That 's the reason why we say PBL and PBB are look very similar. But the PBB from Turkana somehow look not like Lapradei.

Turkana and Chad look almost identical.
The only difference is the Turkana have a more slender "longer" appearance, and the belly is more cream color. This cream starts closer to the lateral line than Chad. (Chad PBB has more green and markings going toward the underside.

I payed $3000 for my Turkana PBB that came with lots of great documentation from the Ethiopia/Kenya Expedi 2008.
But My love of Motorcycles mean a little more to me, so it is now in the display tank at Aqua-Art, Sapporo, Japan.

Same shop has a true "pair" of Turkana PBB selling right now for ¥700,000 (about $7000 US).
