My wife just called me with updates that this little fella now has darken its base color even much more than when I took this video.
And this video was taken only about 18hrs back.

I was told that it might not be a good thing if the base blackness were to eat into the big spots. i.e. The Ray gets blacker but the spots get smaller.
Another Video showing 24Hrs after he 1st went into the tank.
