PE Mysis is the best mysis I've ever used. Its more shrimp per oz, the shrimp are whole, not in pieces, and they are generally larger. Hikari is good, but it just doesn't stand up to it in my experiences.
Cocktail shrimp from Walmart. You can get a 2lb bag of the small shrimp, 350 per pound, for $9. That last a long time, even more so since you have dwarfs. You will still need to cut it up though.
I got my notos onto pellets and flake by adding them to the container that had the bloodworms thawing in it. They soak up the smell/flavor, and when you pour it all in together they hit everything that moves. It took mine about a week and a half before they readily starting taking the flake and the pellets, but they did. Just be patient and persistant, it will pay off!![]()
Thanks for the tip, Peanut_Power. I will keep trying to let the pellets soak up the mysis and krill, hopefully they'll take to eating the sinking pellets. The cocktail shrimp sounds like a good idea, I was gonna try some prawns for a little more meat but my wife would kill me if I bought prawns for my fish and not for her.
