Pea Puffers in 10 gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
a 10g will house several, i'd probably go for no more than 5 and they can be housed with other fish, depending on the personality of the individual puffers, all 3 DPs i've had were housed in community tanks, with zero problems. they need freshwater too, not brackish. before you put in the puffers though, definitly add in lots more plants, they like the cover.

I think the tank looks fine. But I'd clear out one of those big rocks for more swimming space and just add a few more plants. Also that bamboo isnt a real aquatic plant and will rot eventually, and will cause problems to your water quality.
is there any plant that I can replace the bamboo with?

If you want to go live plants I'd go any type of anubias...and some java fern..those two plants can grow with little light......you just basically need something to break the line of sight between them.....

i've had the same problem, only time i've managed to keep anachris alive was in my brackish tank. try keeping it at a low temperature, like 76*
