My Samsung S6 takes terrible fish pics under LED lighting. So here's one from a iPhone 6 for my cichlids aequidens sp. 'jenaro Herrera'
Yeah that's awesome! It really looks good. I like all the movement in the upper parts with the fish.
Lots of big fish in there.... The aequidens are gorgeous. Looks like the ornate is getting more comfortable? Do the geos pick on each other? I read mixed reports on them.
Thanks all! Ya, this is the combination of fish at this size. I've had the least issue or concerns with. Ornate appears shy and docile. Therefore, believe I can start introducing smaller upper jaws.
As for these abalio geophagus. I've had brokopondo and bred orange head geos in the past. Theyre all similar. Temperament is tolerable. A little chasing here and there due to always wanting to breed. Highly recommend anyone wanting to jump in to eartheaters. Wild caught Abalios are 6 for $33 @ wetspot. Highly affordable to play with.
Vancouver, you have a beautiful tank and fish. Great distribution of bio mass throughout the water column.
Speaking of breeding. Just found out a geo laid eggs on the large rock and guarding it. Excuse the terrible zoomed in pic below. What would u guys do?
Even if the become wigglers, if it gets that far. They'l be prayed upon by the tankmates. I have a 75g below just with a baby endli, lol. Any creative ideas fellas/gals? Plan ahead for future eggs, etc... I already know these won't make it due to how busy the tank is.
