Peaceful fish for a change

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Nice fish, thought they are always agressive.

Thanks everyone. I have two females that I have had for 9 years. One is 8 1/2"-9" and the other is about 7". I had to seperate them years ago because the bigger one never stopped picking on the smaller one. They have never bothered the other fish except to once in a while to show their rank.
Looks like this one is shapeing up to be a nice male .
I have never kept a red one but Paradise has a beautiful red one.

Here is a picture of the biggest one that I took quite some time ago when I just started learning fish photography, Funny how what looked so good to me then doesn't look so good now.

What type of camera are you using and flash or no flash. Can I get a quick hint or tip? Thanks.

I am using a canon 20D the same camera my friend Paradise is using in his posts. I use a slave flash above the tank.
You can learn more in a month HERE than a year on your own. At least I did.

Your second picture is really nice.

I started a peaceful tank, a 10 gallon shell dweller tank in my bathroom, started w/ 3 n. multifaciatus, I now have about 15 of them (breeding). its nice seeing how the tank changes daily as they push sand around creating hills and valleys, and discovering new fry swimming around a shell.
