Peaceful fish

the most peaceful cichlid i have is my firemouth which you stated. and my female jewel. she loves swimming around my fingers. i agree with lilpendragon that each cichlid has a different attitude and personality and that can greatly change things in a tank.

Firemouths and jewels are definitely NOT what I'd consider peaceful cichlids (that could mix with, for example, Rams or Apistos). There are one-in-a-million exceptions but chances are...

Don't worry he's not a mod. It's cichlid subject matter therefore its in the right place. With a big enough tank that has enough hiding spaces anything is possible.

I've never had a problem with my jewel or fire mouth. So again I think the individual fish make a big difference
