Peaceful SA tank - 360 tall or 415 wide?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
hers what i would do
all the geos, uaru, sevs etc go in the 360 along with some silver dollars to occupy the middle zone and some huejtas to occupy the surface area
for the 415, a black aro or two with some rays and a couple pbass

You beat me to Peter's Trio.....Ill still send him an email, just in case he has more then the 3.....

Unfortunately he doesn't. I asked.

I figured you'd want them too but if I'm keeping fish with Aros then I need the bigger ones, whereas you can keep accumulating the small guys (and then profit a bit from thinning the herd as they grow!)... seems fair :)

He has some other large geos - proximus alenquer - but I have no idea what those actually look like. Can't find any photos.

Decent plan about the silver dollars. If I could find them, a few dozen marble hatchets could occupy the top area too. That way I could also keep the dwarf cichlids in there and tetras, both of which would be out if I had the arowana with them.

That said, I like the idea of keeping all the SA fish together. As long as the eartheaters are large, I can keep them with the blacks, and maybe add a ray or two - even if it's just a teacup. Obviously I'm keeping a few SA fish in with my eastern hemisphere guys now so I'm not 100% geographically correct, but it still seems a bit odd to me to have rays at the bottom and aros at the top with a bunch of African river fish and indonesian dats in the middle.

BTW I think some people skipped the link to the stock list - the large fish stocking is already done. I already own the 3 12" black aros and several distichoduses and dats. So I'm not looking to add PBass to the mix.

Dave~

Let me know if you can find some small Heckle Stripe SD's, (Or some cool smaller SD's,) as I have 4 large ones, I would have no issue at all, trading them straigt up 4 for 4, as you need the size, it's not an issue to me....Just a thought..

Nuthman~

Let me find some, I know I have some laying around.......
