So some time this summer I want to set-up a 4x2x2.
Was planning to get an L330 plec, and possibly another fancy plec aswell.
Now I really want some cichlids for this tank, but I dont want anything too agressive thats going to mess with the plecs.
I Was thinking maybe a couple Rotkeil sev's.
Like a trio or more of Rotkeils, get some nice driftwood and a few javafern and whatnot and make a nice amazon themed tank.

What are some good cichlids that get to a decent size, are fairly active and wont mess with the plecs?

How is Caprintes(sp?) temperment?
Really like these guys vibrant coloring.

I'd go with JD, GT, or Texas. but that's just me. I've seen some nice photos of some eartheaters, too; nice ones are real nice.

Yeah, was thinking about a GT, but I'd like more than just one cichlid in there.
What about a male and female GT?
I'm assuming they would just become aggressive when spawning and attack the plecs.

4 x 2, that's over 100, right? I'd say there's enough room that the pleco would be able to stay out of the way of a pair of GT's. maybe not. what's wrong with a GT and a JD or a Texas? don't have to make it a pair. or you could go with a GT and a couple firemouths or cons.

JD's are cool, but I dunno, just not feelin it.
Haha.

Texas are nice, Gonna read up on them more.

What you think about GT, Texas, and a Carpintis.

You can also try other peoples non aggressive Cichlids. The fishs' individual personality has alot to do with it.

I like snook, but I dont think a 4x2x2 is really big enough for one.
Althought, a GT, Snook, and Tex/Caprintis would look awesome.

Your own suggestion is the best one so far.A group of rotkiels would be a stunning and relatively peaceful tank. The eartheater suggestion is good too,A few people keep smaller eartheater groups with rotkiel.

Yeah, I REALLY like rotkeils.
Maybe a trio of rotkeils and a geo brasiliensis(ruined spelling on that one) or two.
