peacock bass and ich..

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
heat and salt are best for small bass with ich. I used that method and it went away and has not came back i have a 3 inch bahia kelb and two rio meta orinos in that tank growing out. getting another rio meta tom along with a wc kelberi....bass are the besty and bichirs haha

How are the Bass doing?

I also currently have 2x 15cm Bass infected with it. I also have a Motoro Ray in the tank

I have begun treating it with "Rapid White Spot Remedy" by Aquamaster. Should I also use some salt treatment having already used this product? and will the Stingray be fine with the salt treatment?

Cheers

there still eating like pigs, still no visual signs of ick. but they continue to twitch and rub against objects. Water is in perfect condition, and with all the live plants nitrates remain under 10.
I'm wondering if the ghost shrimp are what caused this, all my feeders come from my girls koi breeding farm ( the babys that are deformed, and ugly i get for free ) so they can't be the cause.

10gallon aquarium, aqua clear hob filter ( 10-40 gallons ), air stone, planted tank.

monday, day 3 after initial signs of ick.

this is more of a journal than a help thread at this point.

i still say you quarnteen those koi before they are fed and get those peacocks on pellets ..asap... i had the same issue and i stopped feeding live and did a few water changes and i stopped seeing the issue of ick..theres also a wicked medication i got when my flowerhorn got it due to feeding feeders.. its by API its called liquid super ick cure.. i find this works the only thing is ur water goes blue for a little im sure you can find it at most pet stores hope that helps
