Seems fish get laid once a year. How is it that they are beating me?

What is the distance between the area where the eggs were laid, and location of the substrate dig?

They are within a foot to three feet. They also move them at least once daily. So you would see multiple holes after 3 or more days after the eggs are laid. It's probably done to confuse predators or clean the wigglers of accumulating dirt.

It was meant to state: " Sometimes the cure is worst than the disease" :grinno:

would they attack ur hand if u stuck it into thier nest? all ways wanted to see just how aggressive they get when spawning.

also, after you catch a spawning pbass. they go right back to the nest unlike lmb.

btw, the fish in his avatar is a rooster fish.

Never had a problem with either of the pair attacking my hand. Actually, they clear out of the area when I approach and watch from a "safe" distance. They go right back when I leave. However, they will attack other fish or fishing lures, big or small.
