Peacock bass feeding

Dude, 14x Peacock Bass with the potential to grow 30"+ wont fit in a 500 gal aquarium PROPERLY imo. Really though, if you can afford the additional exspense & your filter can handle that kind of bio load, than go for it. As for pelletized foods, brands like Hikari's Massivore or Carni stick have a 2-3 feeders to 1 pellet ratio as far as nutritional value, so over feeding with pellets just equals to excess waste & additional exspense.

Its 1.8x for massivore and even less for carni sticks

Yup I know this but most pbass other than pinima and temesis are the only ones I know of that get over 30" and as far as the 500 is concerned this is just another grow out tank I have plans to build a 1000+ gallon wood and plexi tank in my wall and the 500 is gonna have 3-4 eheim 2262 on it so I'll have plenty of filtration for this set up for the time being I get it some of the ppl think I'm crazy but I didn't get them to think about turning around and reselling them after the 15" mark like most do and with the amount of water changes I do in my current tank I have no issues at the moment and by the time I will I'll havey new tank so I'm not too worried as most can't have the size tanks to properly house them but I have a house that is big enough that us paid in full with no mortgage so I'm not too worried about it the finial tank is gonna be 10-12'x4'x5' when all is said and done and if that is to crowded then I'll have my 500 still see my thoughts now?

Yeah I can't wait till then to get it and I'm sure my bass will definitely appreciate the upgrade when time comes.....and to the op I wanna apologize for the derailment of this thread for me mentioning having 14 bass lol

Cool, I'm jealous. I don't own the house I'm living in. I wish I could build a larger one than the 430 gal that I've built, but it'll be difficult to move it when I need to. 1000+ gal, that would be pimp. I hope it works out for you. I'm sure it will. Aloha.

Yeah my wife isn't to happy cuz of the size of the tank but understands why I have to have it.
