Agree, but if you raising temps to mid-80s make sure you have a whole lot of aeration of the water.
 
What other cichlids did you mix him with?? Its not really a good idea to mix juvie cichla with other agressive cichlids.. Well do as the others have stated and good luck..
 
well it is to late i've had my first lose of 09, he was looking good for a while but he gave up, he died and i'm not very happy right now there went 40 dollars down the drain! i tried every thing to save him that i could salt in the water ,raise the temp, and added more air
 
man thats sucks! i tried a peacock bass like 4 months ago becouse i like them but the other fish i had were not liking the new kid so i took him back to the pet store. i had it for a little over 2weeks and there great fish and really cool to watch. sorry about your lose but dontgive up and get another one and good luck
 
well i've had my first loss of 09 and it was a big one, so know i just went on craigslist bought a 55 gallon complete set up so i can buy some more bass and they have there own tank
