Yeah I feed in the same spot and he ussually attacks the pellets that are for my aro and then eventually spits them out but ill give that a try thanks guys

Try hikari food sticks I have the best luck breaking those into smaller pieces and throwing them at the surface one at a time

Well got bad news guys :( came home and found my pbass dead I have no clue what happened water perimeters are: ammonia 0 nitrites 0 nitrates 10 temp is 82 tank mates are a silver aro 7 inches a false Asian red tail catfish 8 inches and 2 smaller pangasius (they are temporary) what do you think happened guys :( this sucks I loved that little guy he ate out of my hand yesterday too :( on top of it all the place I got him doesn't have anymore

yeah im not gunna give up i hope it doesnt happen again maybe a should get more then one next time? and yeah he was getting comfortable with me and everything he would come up to the glass when i came up and like i said, last night i hand fed him krill but yeah next time i hope things go better thanks!
 
sounds like you need to get rid of those catfish before you get any new small bass.
 
you would've seen evidence of attack if the tank mates are suspects, bruises, nipped fins, discoloration, but i won't rule it out. I dont think any the tankmates can catch your bass, they're speedy. sounds like a sudden death syndrome. internal problems maybe?
