lol ms. Hot Pants hahah lol never heard that one before>> Imagine this. Cichla simply is a pizza but lets think of it as a very generic pizza made of: Crust,Sause,Cheese and toppings.>>Crust= Your cichla the entity of your joy the reason you keep and find the sight of your cichla pleasurable. >>Sause= The appearence of your cichla the reason your perfer it over the next farm boy or wild beast. >>Cheese= The variety and specie of the cichla you collect it being a single type or a collection. >>Topping= The little cherry on top the Pièce de résistance of your cichla being its rarity or just how it looks why you like your cichla and every reason following it. >>These 4 to me is what cichla is all about. >>(sorry if this is confusing but i hope you get my point)

^just teasing, you know that :)

love pizza and love cichla . period . :P thats sums it all up for me i guess xD

but ya, nice pinimas :) when i got mine , it didnt have that many gold spots at that size , so these r gonna turn out really nice :)

theyre pins...buy them if you like them.
better?
ive never seen one fish better than nother.
look them up,they are different fish for sure.
buy what you like. ;)

did you pick them up bro?

In my opinion-pinima is kooler than kelberi but it depends on what you like personally.Kelberi would be more expensive if thats what you mean but at this point-theres not many rare cichla around.Kelberi were rare-not anymore.Azul were rare-not anymore and the list goes on.Then again-Azul are still rare, but then again to the average fish keepers out there -all cichla are rare.I guess it depends on what you are in to and who you know or what fish dealers you find.

Thanks for the ID and input, everyone. I'm a saltwater reef guy but have kept an eye at the peacock bass whenever I'm in the shops. I've always seen the regular looking ones, ocellaris, and an occasional mono and tem so I was surprised when these were different than the usual run of the mill stuff.

They have it priced at $140 but offered to me for $120. They also said they could get an azul for $240 from the warehouse. The prices seem kinda high to what I've been seeing on this forum but then again brick and mortar shop vs. online retailer is never a fair comparison due to all the expenses associated with a store front and such. Anyway, I didn't get the pinima because I don't know what a good price range is for one. And I guess I missed the azul train because I'm just now reading on them but I love how they're so blue...and don't really want to get them from this shop since they got the ID wrong on the Kelberis/Pinimas.
