Looking for Peacock Bass in the Maryland DC area. Prefer 10"+ any types of Peacock Bass. Or does anyone know where larger Bass can be bought? Thanks.

Not sure where you are located in Maryland, but try Tropical Fish World in Gaithersburg, MD. I saw some Peacocks in there the other day. Somewhat large, but not 10", however, they can pretty much get what you need and will tell you what they will charge for them.

I asked specifically for a Black Ghost Knife. All the aquariums in the area sell them for $35+. I asked him if he was getting any in, and he said he would order some, asked what size I wanted, and what size would cost what. I told him as small as I can get it and he said $15-20. I'll take it!

There is a huge Koi pool as well, kind of nice to take a look around in there. The store itself is not huge, but usually has some pretty cool fish and monster koi.

Almost forgot, they have a huge glass tank built into the wall. Not sure the amount but usually has huge fish, but last I saw it had a nice FW Stingray, about 16-18" or so, with a couple other fish.

Hope this helps.

what size tanks do you have?
I have multiple large peacocks that I would consider selling to the right home, they currently live in a 900 gallon.

Do you live in the DMV?

I have a 180g and Im planning to upgrade to a 360-500g or indoor pond in the near future. I am interested in adding 1 pbass to my tank at the moment and I would prefer a Mono...

Thanks for the response. I live close to TFW so I will see what they have. Two weeks ago they did not have many big predators for sale. Matt I think I may have been over to your house this past summer. If you are who I am thinking of your bass were killer but too big for my tank. I could not house any that large. But thank you.

Paxton, I should have guessed by your user name who this was. How are things? I still have the same bass only bigger now. Jim does not have any in stock right now and is probably unable to get much new stuff until the weather lets up.

I would not be willing to sell to anyone with a tank that size (180). Contact me in the future if you build the pond and are still looking for large fish. All the bass I have are between 16" and 22".
